January

The featured program was a lengthy talk on UK research given by Paul Howes, the President of the St. Augustine Genealogy Society.

April

The program was an introduction of the speaker, Zach Zacharis, who spoke about small towns in Florida.

February

Larry Fermi presented on "How to Get Started in Genealogy" using his father's family from Italy as an example.

May

Bill Meister's program focused on "Den Research" as a way to focus research by looking at the 30 original ancestors (32) on a 5-generation family group sheet.

2024 Meetings

January

Larry Fermi presented an online, interactive program on "Using Newspapers.com", providing a detailed handout.

April

The program featured Sandy Streitberger, who presented "Trivia and Tidbits" and provided a handout.

October

Bill Meister presented on Genealogy Timelines. He described timelines as a chronological list of a descendant's life information set in context with historical events.

February

Bill Meister presented "5 Key Strategies for Genealogical Success".

May

Janet Hunter of the Indian River Genealogical Society presented on "Story Ideas From DNA". Her presentation focused on using DNA to tell a family's story, which can sometimes provide a different reality from written records or offer answers not found in paper trails.

November

Terry Raburn Hall, President of Roots and Branches Genealogical Society in Deland, presented on transcribing historical documents and gave an 1846 travelogue.

March

Ray Lennard, an historian and librarian at Ormond Beach Library, who spoke on Historic Homes and Their Timeframes, Sanborn Maps, and Panoramic Maps.

June

Roundtable Presentations by Members.

December

Larry Fermi spoke on Passenger Lists and their annotations, providing a detailed handout.
